Stuck in between two rivers in the Himalayas, my best friend and I were forced to huddle for warmth to fight off the bitter cold. The sun set and it began to rain, we thought we might not make it through the night. I wrote this song the next day on a frozen lake after being saved by horsemen from a local village. I will forever owe them my life.
lyrics
The Sun dipped low in the valley
We huddled for warmth, we were freezing
Oh little lamb, how did you die here
On the altar made of ice, with a crow, he had no eyes to see
And as day turned into night
We waited for the horsemen out on the ice
As it began to rain we thought, my god
Go lightly into the dark I will not
We hadn't seen you in hours
We didn't find you in the river
We thought you might have died, so we prayed for you
Hung our heads and cried cause we might die too
So I had to look inside
My backpack for a knife and the will to survive
Breathing in the quickly fading light I knew
I'd make it home.
